Third Tuesday Meeting

For June only, the Festival Ranch Democrats and Independents Interest Group meeting will be held on the Third Tuesday instead of the First Tuesday – so be sure to mark your calendar.

Speaker: Jonathan Hill, Clean Election Candidate for Arizona Corporation Commissioner

Born in Kingman and raised in Phoenix, Jonathon Hill is an ASU geological scientist who would be the only commissioner with an engineering background. He is refusing to take corporate and utility donations.

  1. Utility bills are out of control: The average Arizona electricity rate has risen 43% since 2021. The 100% Republican ACC has approved virtually every rate increase utilities have requested.

  2. Voters have the power to make change: The SRP race proved the ACC is winnable.

  3. This race isn’t partisan, it’s personal: We must replace the current Republican commissioners.

  4.  ACC must fight for families, not roll out the red carpet for data centers, and fight to restore the common-sense environmental protections that the ACC rolled back at the behest of corporate special interests.

  5. Now the time to act: A 14% APS rate hike is on the table, with more expected to come. Flipping 2 ACC seats can alter the course.

*We moved our June meeting from 6/2 to 6/16 so more of us can attend the LD-25 meeting on June 2nd featuring Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, who is currently running for re-election. Her presentation begins at 6:15 PM at Goodyear High School. We hope you’ll join us for this special evening! See the June event on this calendar for details.
